Montlior Group Appoints Rafael Ondrej-Castellan Head of Wire Operations
Meridale, Coravia — Montlior Group has appointed Rafael Ondrej-Castellan Head of Wire Operations with immediate effect. He moves from the Aselby broadcast hub, where he ran transmission and playout for the regional bulletin service.
In the new role he assumes responsibility for distribution engineering, embargo control, feed reliability and the onboarding of accredited newsrooms. He reports to the Group Chief Executive and joins the operations committee.
The post has been vacant since March. During the interim the wire recorded 99.98 per cent distribution uptime and no embargo failure, a record the group attributes to the standing duty-desk rota.
“The wire works because newsrooms trust the timestamp. Everything I do here will be measured against whether that trust holds.”
Rafael Ondrej-Castellan · Head of Wire Operations
