Montlior Wire Introduces Structured Embargo Delivery for Accredited Newsrooms

Embargoed releases distributed by Montlior Wire now carry a machine-readable lift time alongside the wording that has always accompanied them. Newsroom systems can stage copy, images and captions against that field and release them automatically at the stated moment.

The change removes the manual scheduling step that has been the most common cause of accidental early publication across the industry. Lift times remain absolute and expressed in UTC; the wire does not operate rolling embargoes or regional lifts.

The field is present in both the RSS and JSON feeds. Newsrooms that ingest neither will see no change: the embargo wording, the amber badge and the stated lift time appear exactly as before.

About Montlior Group

Montlior Group is an independent media house founded in Meridale, Coravia, in 1962 by the Montlior family, and chaired today by Aldric Montlior. The group publishes Montlior News, operates the broadcast and documentary studios of Montlior Media, prints through Montlior Press, issues the quarterly Montlior Review, and funds independent regional journalism through the Montlior Foundation. Its press releases are distributed exclusively by Montlior Wire, the group’s own wire service, which has published an open public feed without registration or charge since 2004.
