Montlior Press Completes Conversion of the Coldharbour Plant to Certified Recycled Newsprint
Meridale, Coravia — Montlior Press has completed the conversion of its Coldharbour plant to certified recycled newsprint. Every title printed at Coldharbour now runs on certified recycled stock, cutting the division’s annual virgin fibre demand by an estimated 8,400 tonnes.
The conversion required re-tensioning across the web offset line and a change of ink formulation. Print quality was independently assessed against the previous stock before the switch was made permanent.
Coldharbour is the group’s largest plant by volume. The remaining two plants are scheduled for conversion by the end of 2028.
